Aimee M. Carr – casting

Aimee has worked in film, television and broadcast media for over ten years.  She has access and contacts for Northern California’s best “A” team crew, talented cast and film/ TV “friendly” vendors.  Her experience spans from working with large Hollywood Production Companies, such as Tom Hanks’ Playtone Productions of HBO’s Big Love fame, to producing Effie award winning television commercials, such as Walmart’s Local Basket Claim campaign.

Yes, Aimee is the person to know if you’re in the Sacramento/NorCal area and need assistance with your film, TV and/or video productions.  Her skill sets incorporate production management that will save your project time and money.  This go-getter has worked closely with local Film Commissioners and has resources that will simplify any project large or small.

one studios was very fortunate to have been routed in Aimee’s direction when we began the casting process for Fight 4 Your Life.  After speaking with her very briefly it was obvious she was the right person to be talking to.  She has aided us tremendously in finding many of the actors that make up the cast of F4YL.  And we cannot ever thank her enough for her efforts.

Simply put, Aimee is awesome!  But don’t take her helping nature for granted.  She’s for her cast and crew people and will not allow them to be taken advantage of, which is something we greatly respect and admire about Mrs. Carr.  In this industry we have to take care of each other.  We appreciate you Aimee, and all that you do.  Thank you!!!

Cody Watson – production assistant / grip

Cody started his video and film adventures by volunteering on local productions and acquired the skills needed to be more useful on-set.  Now, he runs his very own production company called Interrobang Productions.

Interrobang Productions is Cody’s outlet for creativity and acts as a conduit for doing business.  He creates micro-budget video marketing material for use online, not broadcast.  Just some of the work he’s done include videos for artist bios, event promotions, corporate videos, online and social media marketing materials… You name it, he’ll do it.

Cody’s Jack-of-all-trades mindset was apparent when he first came on board as a production assistant to aid the one studios crew in making the Fight 4 Your Life short film in 2012.  He quickly went from serving as a P.A. to helping with sound, costuming, grip and even standing in as an actor for that project.  F4YL creator Bryan Bachar elaborates,

“I was amazed at how much Cody wanted to help.  It wasn’t like we were even asking him to do a lot of the stuff he was doing.  He just made it happen.  He has the drive you need in this industry.  I’m so happy he is making his dreams come true.”

Since the F4YL short, Cody has continually aided one studios in its projects whenever possible.  He’s a busy guy, but he’s committed to his craft and a loyal colleague.  We truly consider him part of the one studios Family and an honorary member of the one studios crew.  Thank you, Cody, for everything you do.  We look forward to what lays ahead with you, amigo!

Elona Lorraine – sound recordist

Elona comes to us from Desert Warrior Entertainment, LLC.  Her partner in crime, Kenneth Ostrom, who is on the Fight 4 Your Life cast, brought her to set on a key shoot.  We ended up utilizing her sound recordist skills after she explained to us her background in such.  What a gem!

Since that shoot she’s served as sound recordist for several F4YL shoots.  In fact, she also acted in a key scene as well!  See if you can find her when Fight 4 Your Life premieres on a screen near you.

In the meantime, help support Elona by tuning into Desert Warrior Entertainment’s ongoing web series The Kent Stone Chronicles.  Fun stuff!  Thank you for the diligent work and nonstop support Elona!  one studios looks forward to future projects with you aboard.

Logan Williams – camera op / assistant camera / assistant director

Logan Williams is a filmmaker and writer from Sacramento, CA with a M.F.A. in film production from Loyola Marymount University in Southern California.  Logan’s passion for film making far exceeds simple words.  He has made it his career, his life.

“What is film to me?  Film is that which I cannot make real, seem real.  Altogether one might say that film overall is a lie, a compromise that states something.  In that statement then I want to find and reveal a truth that I would be otherwise unable to do in this thing we call life.”  – Logan Williams

Having gained immense experience while living in Los Angeles for close to a decade, Logan has worked on many film and video projects, many being his own short films.  He takes great pride in his film making, not sparing any details.

This has been apparent to Fight 4 Your Life creator, Bryan Bachar since first meeting Logan in 2011:

“I met Logan when we joined up to do a 48 Hour Film contest in Sacramento.  Over the duration of that weekend I saw his passion for film making and his eye for detail.  He is a story teller, something I hold great value for, as you need to be one in order to be a solid filmmaker.  Since that project I’ve been fortunate to witness Logan continue to grow into the artist I could tell he was then.  Sky’s the limit for this dude!”

Logan has regularly aided one studios on projects over the years, whether video based or films.  In fact, he came up from Southern California way back in 2012  to help shoot the short film version of Fight 4 Your Life, which started everything.  We wish nothing but the best for this honorary member of the one studios crew.  And we thank him for all his hard work and dedication.  Get ’em Logan!

Check Logan out on IMDb, Vimeo, LinkedIn and Facebook.  Here’s one of Logan’s films one studios aided him on!

Raymond Park – sound design / sound FX / background music

Raymond, or Ray, is currently working as a sound effects editor / sound designer for film and he’s in love with every minute of it.  He’s also a huge cinephile, with some of his favorite directors being Andrei Tarkovsky, Carl Theodor Dreyer, Park Chan-Wook, The Coen Brothers and Lars von Trier (the list could go on forever).

Ray says of his love of sound,

“I love sound, especially within the boundless realms of storytelling.  From the most unintelligible crackling gibberish to the smoothest of melodious murmurs, I love it all.”

So passionate about his audio is Ray that he moved down to Los Angeles to follow his love.  There he works for Monkeyland Audio, while he also pursues work as a freelancer for sound projects ranging from sound effects creation/editing to composing to sound recording and more.

Ray first came to one studios back in 2011 when he joined forces with us for a short film we did for a 48 Hour Film Festival in Sacramento, CA.  Since then he has aided one studios on various projects as an honorary member of the one studios crew, including serving as sound effects artist/foley artist for the short film version of Fight 4 Your Life in 2012.

We are ecstatic to have Ray on board for more of his awesome audio abilities.  Give him a cup of Joe and he’s ready to go!  Yep, his skills are quite sound….he he.

Anyway, be sure to check in on Ray via IMDb, LinkedIn, Vimeo, Facebook or EmptyKingdom.com.  Trust us, he’s quite entertaining and has excellent taste!

Ryan Baustian – gaffer / grip

After graduating from San Diego State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Film/Cinema/Video Studies, Ryan has been working diligently in the film, television and web media industries.  Aside from working with one studios on Fight 4 Your Life, Ryan works regularly for Simz Productions in Sacramento, CA.  He’s also worked for Hired Guns Pictures.

We’re ecstatic to have Ryan aboard.  His skill sets in film production have proven themselves superbly, especially in the area of gaffing for film.  Ryan’s keen eye and ability with lighting have helped F4YL be the film it is.  Be sure to look for him in one of the scenes of F4YL too, as he has a small role!

We thank Ryan for all his hard work and dedication to this project and look forward to the days ahead with him as part of the one studios crew.  With his easy going nature, strong work ethic, knowledge and experience, he’s the kind of guy you want on your team.

Zaco Cox – production assistant / grip

Born Zac Alexander Cox in middle America, Zaco is extremely passionate about the film and television industries.  From his own mouth,

“I feel that whatever we capture on camera, then cut and trim to our liking, and deliver to the masses, is rewarding.”

Zaco considers entertaining people his craft.  And he is the person you’ve been looking for when it comes to having someone on your team.  We can vouch for that!

The one studios crew is thankful to have had Zaco on board for a duration of shoots for F4YL  in the Summer of 2013.  His grip and production assistant skill sets were a valuable addition to our team.  And we look more than forward to working with Zaco again in the very near future!

Brian Jagger

Co-host of FitBody Focused & Weight Loss warrior on FitBodyRadio, Brian Jagger is an entrepreneur, working actor, writer, marketing consultant and personal trainer.  Jagger’s most recent short film screenplay entitled “The Lottery Ticket” is one of the ten winning scripts for the 14th annual Place Called Sacramento Film festival put on by Access Sacramento.  The film premiered October 6th, 2013 @1pm, at the Crest Theater in Sacramento, California.

In early 2013, Jagger helped co-found the video based social media platform VidGage, a social media platform that allows users to post video updates and uniquely allows followers to comment via video replies created through the platform (commenting with video).  VidGage even allows comments on comments.

As a writer Jagger has previously earned a “Best Original Script” ELLY nomination for his original play “The Interviews” which has been produced by three different theater groups in the Sacramento region since 2009.  Jagger also wrote and helped produce the webseries “Now Hiring” which is loosely based upon the play “The Interviews”.  The series can be viewed online at www.NowHiring.TV

As an actor, Jagger earned his Screen Actors Guild eligibility with a principal role in the Paul Thomas Anderson directed movie “The Master” in a scene opposite Phillip Seymour Hoffman (which was unfortunately cut, but still earned Jagger his SAG-E).  Jagger has also had guest lead or primary supporting roles in four different national television shows and has appeared in over a dozen national television show episodes.  He has also been in several regional television commercials and multiple short films.

Jagger also works as a marketing consultant and promotions specialist helping small businesses as well as artists and athletes with their publicity and promotion.  In addition, Jagger works part-time as a Certified Personal Trainer, something he became after losing over 120lbs.

Weighing in at 316lbs, Brian Jagger knew (and was flat out told by his Doctor) things needed to change.  After losing more than 140lbs, Jagger became inspired by those who found inspiration in his success.  To continue to help and inspire others to get fit, Jagger became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).  Jagger currently trains and coaches from Anytime Fitness in Roseville, CA.

Far from easy, and littered along the way with more than the usual amount of difficulty, Jagger has lost the weight with more than a short-story to tell.  Marriage and family lost, medical complications, behavior and personality change, criminal activity… all that and more, Jagger has come through.  Fighting through the negative and focusing on getting “back to old Brian”, Jagger has persevered, gotten healthy, built back his family and dedicated himself to helping others get through the challenge of weight loss and fitness transformation, all while avoiding the pitfalls he encountered.

Now that things are “normal” medically for Jagger, he has earned his CPT and is proud to be helping others in their fitness goals.  He has also begun the foundations for his professional writing and acting career.

Brian came onto Fight 4 Your Life after having met creator Bryan Bachar via mutual colleague Marc Gardner.  Both Brian and Bryan had small roles in Marc’s short film, The Within.  Since then Brian has been in several one studios productions, including landing a role in F4YL.  We’re thrilled to have Mr. Jagger on board and look forward to continuing to build a lasting relationship!

Check out Brian on LinkedIn, Facebook, FitBodyRadio, Twitter and IMDb.

Keenan Johnston

Brian Keenan Johnston has worked in public-policy and communications since 1985.  This work entails public speaking, non-profit administration, ‘community organizing’ and effective advocacy.  Principally based in Sacramento, he has worked with legislators throughout the world as an advocate for the medically vulnerable, having testified and worked legislation in all of the state capitols of the Mountain and Pacific states, as well as Washington, D.C., and the national legislatures of New Zealand, Australia, Belgium, and South Africa.

As an administrator of a non-profit corporation and a public-policy and communications adviser, Brian provides advice predicated on creatively achieving three basic goals:

1) affirming the dignity of the human person.
2) communicating in an accessible, entertaining and motivating way
3) giving effective agency to the ideas expressed…”GET IT DONE” (‘Activity is not the same as accomplishment’)

As the single, most effective tool of mass communications is the moving image, Brian has made a specialty of focus on the medium of film as both art and business, having ‘cut-his teeth’ in the employ of an entertainment law firm in the 1970’s.  As an avocation he has subsequently worked films and documentary productions throughout the world, and on both sides of the camera.

Keenan, which is Brian’s stage name, has acted in many film productions over the years.  It was in 2011 that he met F4YL director Bryan Bachar for a short film project called Passerby (Pass Her Bye), in which Keenan played the lead role.  Since this film, Keenan has been a loyal friend and colleague to the one studios crew, having been in several other one studios films.  So, it was a no brainer to ask Keenan to be a part of the Fight 4 Your Life feature film project, as he had also been in the short film version of F4YL in 2012.

Yes, we’re more than pleased to have Mr. Johnston reprise his role, as it’s always a pleasure to work with him…and his comedic antics on set.  He’s a busy guy who never seems to rest!  In fact, if this character actor is not in front of the camera, he’s behind it, also partaking in running events such as the Life Fest Film Festival in Hollywood, CA.  Truly, we are fortunate to have Keenan aboard.  And we wish him nothing but success in his adventures, giving him the same ongoing support he has given Fight 4 Your Life, and one studios!

Be sure to check out the Life Fest Film Festival!
